PAI Certification

Objectives

Daimler software projects come with high requirements in terms of professionalism and technological knowledge. Before a project is awarded, checks will be conducted to ensure that the service provider has access to the necessary PAI know-how so that the software developed will be properly based on the PAI infrastructure.

An important indicator is whether one or more of the project team members has PAI certification.

Target Group and Prerequisites

The PAI certification is aimed at PAI architects and developers with many years of work experience in areas such as Java, Servlets, J2EE, EJB, n-tier architecture and patterns.

We would like to explicitly state that this certification is not suitable for those who have little experience in the areas mentioned above.

Participation in a PAI training course is recommended as preparation for the certification test but does not guarantee a pass.

Certification Procedure

Technical knowledge will be tested using a multiple choice test. The following areas will be tested in the certification and the difficulty level will vary according to the role (architect or developer):

• PAI General
• PAI Compliance
• Directory & Security Architecture
• Directory & Security Components
• J2EE Architecture
• J2EE Components
• PAI Operational Aspects
• HBSG+B

There will be questions based on each of these areas. Once you have successfully registered for the certification, technical information will be made available so that you can prepare for the test.

To successfully obtain the certification, you have to pass the sections for all the individual topics mentioned above.

The test will be held in English.
